A Heartfelt Message from the President of the Waco Central (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated

Greetings to everyone! I am thrilled to share with you the exciting journey of the Waco Central Texas Chapter, a link in the powerful national organization, The Links, Incorporated. Founded in 1946, The Links is a remarkable international organization consisting of over 15,000 inspiring women and 288 dedicated chapters. 

The Waco Central Texas Chapter proudly serves a diverse range of communities, including Marlin, Waco, Hearne, Calvert, Killeen, Temple, and other nearby areas. Our mission goes beyond just building friendships; we aim to make a meaningful difference in the quality of life for residents in our service by offering engaging programming across five key areas: human services, national and international, the arts, and youth services.

We are particularly excited about our signature programs which truly embody our commitment to community enhancement. For instance, the Fall Into Reading Literacy, in partnership with Killeen ISD, aims to promote literacy and a love of reading among students. Additionally, our ACE Baylor Links Digital Media Program, in collaboration with ACE, Baylor Journalism, Public Relations & New Media, and Hearne and Calvert ISDs, provides students with essential digital media skills.

We also address pressing issues, such as bullying, through our Choices Program in partnership with Killeen ISD. Furthermore, our Mental Health Program supports the mental well-being of our community, and the Colgate Bright Smiles Bright Futures Dental Program ensures that children receive essential dental care. Together, through these initiatives, we are making strides to uplift our communities and enhance the overall quality of life for our residents.
