Message from Waco Central (TX) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated President

The Waco Central Texas Chapter is one link in the chain of the national organization, The Links, Incorporated, established in 1946. Two of its purposes are establishing friendships among its members and providing services that will improve communities.

The Links, Incorporated is an international organization with over 15,000 women and 288 chapters.

The Waco Central Texas Chapter serves the following communities: Marlin, Waco, Hearne, Calvert, Killeen, Temple, and other nearby areas. In addition to promoting friendships among our members, we aim to impact residents' quality of life in our service area by providing programming in five facet areas: health and human services, national and international trends, the arts, and services to youth.

Our signature programs include the Fall Into Reading Literacy Program, a partnership with Killeen ISD; the ACE Baylor Links Digital Media Program, a partnership with ACE, Baylor Journalism Public Relations & New Media, Hearne and Calvert ISDs; the Choices (Bullying) Program, a partnership with Killeen ISD; and the Healthy Heart program, a collaboration with Baylor Scott and White Hospital Temple; and the Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures Dental Program.

                                                                                      --Waco Chapter President Sandra Forsythe
